Biwako Hotel’s public bath is filled with natural hot springs said to alleviate neuralgia, arthralgia, cold sensitivity, and fatigue. While taking in the view of Lake Biwa, indulge yourself in a time of healing.

Open Air Bath

The feeling of openness with the mountains and lake ahead heals the fatigue accumulated in your body and mind. Spend blissful time gazing at the nightscape with the fantastically lit Lake Biwa Flower Fountain and pleasure boat.

Our clean dressing area has a free drink server and sofa for cooling down after your bath. The room is furnished with basic cosmetics and baby bed.

Facilities The men’s and women’s onsen each have a large public bath, open air bath and sauna (male: dry / female: mist).

*Male: after shave lotion, baby bed
*Female: Basic cosmetics (toner, milky lotion, cotton pads), baby bed

Remarks /Important Notes

・In room pajamas, yukatas and slippers may be worn from hotel facilities, rooms, and Japanese banquet hall located on the 5th floor and above to the Onsen on the 4th floor. Pajamas, yukatas and slippers may not be worn in the public areas from the 3rd floor and below.
・Persons with tattoos are not permitted.
・Lockers with keys are provided. Please keep your valuables in lockers, guest room safes, or with the front desk.
・Please note that the hotel will not be responsible for accidents or theft.

*Do not bathe wearing swimwear, underwear or bath towels.
*Rinse yourself with hot water before entering the bathtub.
*Do not put towels in the bathtub.
*Wash your body outside the bathtub.
*Do not use soap in the bathtub.
*Do not swim.
*Do not take pictures or videos in the Onsen facilities.
*Mixed bathing is allowed for children up to 7 years of age; boys and girls 8 years of age and over must bathe in the male and female Onsen, respectively.
